The point of the above was that some of you may remember that song from this SNL digital short (you have to suffer through about 3 minutes of autotuned fun before you get to the recognizable bit though):
Update: Jason DeRulo released his debut single, "Whatcha Say," which samples the recognizable bit of the song too.

It's from Saturday Night Live. I was curious if the song that was playing was an actual outside song or if it was made just for the sketch. Turns out it was an actual song. An awful, awful actual song.
I wonder why this is the random weirdness that people question and not any of the other random weirdness?
although I'm not sure, I think that this song was used in a similar context for some show like Desperate Housewives. Overboard satire; you gotta love it!
